HI Sharon, I left a little tab on the side of mine because I'm thinking I might somehow bind them all together at the end of the year to make some type of fabric book(?) Of course, first I have to see if I make it through the year LOL What's a concertina postcard book? I'll have to go google...

I think a concertina postcard book would be a great idea. I'm got Pam Sussman's book on Fabric Art Journals. The postcards could be easily worked into a number of the projects that she suggests.

I finally got one done specifically for this group! Mine will be made into the concertina book based on Pam Sussman's idea from Fabric Art Journals.
And Sharon, i admit it took/is taking a *little* longer than 20 minutes for this one :}

Some of the cards I think I'll keep and hang on a wall somewhere, but I intend to send a few of them on their merry little way through the mail- Who knows where they'll end up?! :o)

I want to do smth. bookish with fabrics, the concertina format is good because it allows a wide view (and hands-off if the end product deserves exhibition). The question is relief elements and how to manage not to flatten them. IMHO (thanks arlee) if they are framed with a bit of depth the problem may be solved. I did smth. like that with the pages of a sort of exercise book where I'm collecting my learning samplers. Though it hasn't reached the binding point yet (must keep learning, I guess)

I've made a book to hold my postcards. It holds 20. Each page has a small pcket at the bottom edge to hold the card without hiding too much of it (much like a stamp album). The cards can then be taken out and examined, and the backs seen as well. It also means that I didn't need to alter the cards in any way.

Well, I ran across some twill tape today that has riveted holes in it. I am thinking that i can sew this tape to an edge of the card and string cord through the rivets, and just add cards as I make them. Kind of like a fabric scrapbook.
