About Minimalist Landscapes: take the long view!

This group is for simple, minimalist landscapes photography. Before sending a picture to this group, please ask yourself two questions:

1. Is it a landscape?

For us a landscape photo is a photo of natural scenery. The subject must be at moderate to long distance ("take the long view"). We do not count sea-, sky- or cityscapes as landscapes.

2. Is it minimalist?
Minimalist landscapes will have just a few clean lines and few colours (if there are more than two lines or so, they should be very similar in direction and shape).

Objects (e.g., a person/tree/house/cloud) in the picture are tolerated as long as they are small and not the subject of the picture. In principle, the photo should be clean and the landscape should be the most important thing in the photo.

Minimalist landscape photography of this kind is easiest to achieve in deserts (dune shots especially), but can also be done with snow, pastures, beaches, distant hills, etc.

If the answer to any of the questions is "no," please do not send the photo to the group as it will be moderated out anyway. If you are not sure if your photo fits into this group present and discuss it in the thread: Is this minimal enough?.
