About Amateurs

The group name says it all.

An amateur photographer is one who engages in photography as a pastime or hobby rather than as a profession. Another definition would be a photographer lacking the skill and expertise of a professional.

Do you consider yourself an amateur? If so, join now and let's all learn together!

Please - no pornography, nudity, violence or profanity. Any image containing these things will be deleted. Also, any images containing children in poses that are deemed provocative or adult in nature will be removed and the group member will be banned and reported. This is a family friendly group. Violations will not be tolerated.

We will be having contests and varying themes, if you have any suggestions please contact an admin.

In the past, this group has allowed up to 50 images a month. Because the amateurs group has become so large, group posting will be limited to 3 per day. Now members will actually be able to add more photos per month then before, but with a limit of 3 per day members will have more of a chance to view and enjoy a variety of photographs. Unlike some groups, you're not required to comment on photos, but positive and constructive comments are always welcome.
