Heya everyone, Im Rachel from melbourne australia. Just completed a diploma of photography, absolutly love photography and tend to photograph anythoing and everything. Like to find unusual angles. In the film vs digital debate for black and white i think there is a purity in good old silver gelatin prints that you just don't get digitally so i love black and white film, for colour i prefer digital. Been doing photography for 2 years of my 20 years on a seroius level. noice to meet you all.

I am married (13 years) I have a 18 year old daughter, a 12 year old cat(Mimi) a samoyed dog( Nikki) and we live in grape growing country. I probably gain 10 pounds each fall, because when the grapes are ripe, the smell is soo sweet.

I was born and raised in Northern California (East of SF) where I still live.

This is my beautiful daughter,


My favorite thing in the world is spending time with her. I coach her soccer and softball teams. We bowl, play tennis, soccer, softball, frisbee, football, she throws good spirals and she is a wicked fastpitch pitcher.

Amongst other things I like to do this,


I survived a heart attack and triple bypass surgery 4 months ago.
I won't post the picture here, but if you like you can see it in my photostream. It's just a pic of my scar. I felt like I had to do it.

Love photography, love being alive, hate going back to work lol,

Unfortunately work limits my time availible to taking more and better photo's. It is a fantastic hobby and love it. When I lost my first husband 12 years ago, I realised I had very few picutres of us as a family, I had photos of the children either on their own with him or me, but hardly any of the four of us. I realised then how important it is to capture as many moments in your life as possible. Photo's can help remember the good and happy times, and show how far you have come following bad times.

Lyle Johnson from Bethel, Ohio. We are about 30 miles East of Cincinnati. I was int eh Air Force in Turkey and S. Korea and will have to see what all I have taken. There are more pics taken here and in Texas that I will have to scan. About 2 years ago my Sister gave me a digital SLR camera for Christmas. Since 1970, at my first assignment, in the service I have been using film and darkrooms so still learning. A small shop in a nearby town in Turkey sold films from all over and we would buy some and experimnent.

Hi folks, I am Dave, recently (4 years) retired police officer who is also secretary/gopher for our Force's pipe band. I found photography when I got a digital camera - could not do anything worthwhile with a 'real' camera - and then started snapping the band at events, and also recording my grandson (born on Christmas Day 2003).

Being based in Inverness, capital of the Scottish Highlands, there's a lot of beautful scenery on my doorstep, and in my travels with the band and/or the family, I try to take a few shots of the scenery too.

My other interests - police cars, police history, collecting police insignia and model police cars - have also now started getting my camera's attention, and I have started a few groups on Flickr to bring these subjects together:-
