Hello everyone, I have had my Canon DSLR 400d for around 8mths now, absolutely love it but am still learning how to get the best out of it. My 3 and a half yr old daughter is my most fav'd subject. I would also love for some feedback so that I can improve.

Hi All.

I have a Canon Powershot A430 which I love. I have recently begun to try using the manual settings instead of always using Auto.
I have also been attending Beginners Digital Photography lessons to try and learn how to take a good picture.
The results are mixed so far, a few good ones, but mainly average or poor.

Hello everyone,
I just bought a Canon PowerShot S3 (not a fancey camera by any means but a step up for me) I have been taking photos for maybe a week and have so much fun while I am doing it! I was basically looking for a hobby and something to relax me and this is it. Im sure my photos are terrible, but I really really hope to learn and improve. Hello everyone!
I am a long time nature lover who got her first camera at the age of five or six. (Remember those long skinny things back in the 80's?) I've never taken any kind of professional courses on this hobby, and I only yesterday bought my first book on 'digital photography' so I am just beginning my actual study of things. After taking two awesome trips over the last two summers, I've decided I'd like to really learn how to capture these special moments as best as I can.

I'm Alpa and from the UK. I've always enjoyed taking photos but ony recently thought of it more as a hobby and something that I'd like to learn more about. I bought a Panasonic TZ-3 last year but am still figuring out how best to use the settings in specific occasions. But I've noticed that I've been paying more attention to composition and style more recently, and am hoping to improve more over the coming months before my fiance and I go to South America for 3 months! Hi everyone! The name's Joey.
I've been dabbling in photography for a while now, but I just recently became rather serious about it.
My first quality point-and-shoot was a Sony DSC P200. I've had it for about, maybe, 3 years now? I've actually been using it frequently up until recently, before I purchased a Nikon D80 DSLR earlier this week.
Obviously, I was amazed at the differences of quality and general setup between the cameras, but I'm slowly getting the hang of the SLR.

My reliable old Kodak died a couple of weeks ago and I acquired (yesterday) my husbands Nikon D50 when he upgraded.

I'm Nadine, (German expat) new to Flickr and photography, and I'm looking forward to making some new friends here. After the birth of my son recently, my dad gave me his old digital camera (Fujifilm S7000) to take pictures of the little guy, and I got hooked on taking photos of whatever comes in front of my lens. Hi all - started on flickr simply as a way to share pics with friends/family. Then looking around found myself so inspired by the beautiful pics available on here, I started to think more about how to take betters photos etc. I was using 3mp camera phone before, but have just got a Canon 400D - learning how to use all the settings, and learn all the photography lingo! Hi I'm new to the photography thing.But totally addicted now.I'm tring new things every day.Some good some bad LOL! I will take advice from anyone who can help.My cats and family have been my test subjects.Some willing some not to happy.Most of my pictures are of my cats.I'm having serious problems with moving subjects.And also get lost in what setting to take some things in.I started out with a Kodak easyshare.Now I'm with a Canon Powershot with alot more settings and alot more problems.I'm in several groups most to do with cats.And see lots of pictures that are beyond my ability.But I hope I can get to that level one day.I take criticism very well and can't wait to learn.And just a hint my spelling sucks lol!

Hello everyone, I started shooting a couple of years ago. Self taught and still learning. My sister gave me an old minolta to start with. The BUG bit me...now I have a Nikon D70s.

Hi everyone!
My name is Amber and I am still learning, so be nice. :)
I have had a Flickr account for a while and had uploaded pictures from an older camera I had so they weren't always that good.
In the past 3 months I bought a Nikon DSLR and I LOVE it. I don't know how to use all of it yet, but I try and I think I am getting better.
Hopefully in the next couple weeks I can upgrade my Flickr to PRO too.

Hello everyone!
I joined flickr about a year ago, but I didn't really start using it until recently. For the last few years I've had the standard point&shoot camera, but I got a good deal on a Canon Rebel XT and now I'm trying to learn more about photography in general. I appreciate any tips anyone has, and I love looking at all your photos!

Ok i can't remember if i posted a hello or not so i am just going to do it again to be sure. Hi I am laura i just picked up photography as a hobby 41/2 mnths ago and now it is becoming a passion i use a Canon SX100IS and i love it. There is always room for improvement so i won't get mad if you comment my page.

Hey Everyone. I am new to the group. I am 24 from Atlanta, GA. I just bought my first DSLR. I got a Nikon D40 and am saving up for a 18mm to 200mm VR lens. It is big bucks so I will be saving for a while. For now I am using the very good kit lens!

Hi, I am Jennifer, live in NYC. I bought the Nikon D80 for myself, a little treat for completing the marathon last november. Its a lot of camera and am slowly getting the hang of it. I just recently took it with me to Peru where I hopefully shot some nice photos.
