The image from Luke is perfect square. I think I'm going to invest in a mat cutter.
My preferred ratio is 3:4 (which is wider than the 8x10) - I actually sent 8x14's to folks because the images I chose didn't crop well to the standard 8x10.

I don't know if it's perfectly square ;-) I cut the paper in the darkroom and it should be around 8" on both sides, hehe. I stole my wife's paper guillotine from her failed scrapbooking hobby and have marked off 8" 7" 5" and 4" with little arrows to help me in the dark.
I could really use a good mat board cutting system with the print swaps so I could start custom framing everything myself. One hobby begets yet another ;-)

I use the handheld tools to cut matboard. I have a straight edge and also a bevel. Be extremely careful with the blades. I damn near sliced my thumb off with one of them. They cut through skin fast and deep.

I just got my pictures from s5iara, a lovely snow scene and a little extra picture. Both very nice.
There are two who still haven't sent theirs, or at least marked swap-bot that they sent it. Be sure to send them off soon!

Namke: Yours is rescued. Once i smooshed against the glass in the frame, you can't see the bends in it.
I got all three prints, and all three people got mine, so I'm accounted for.

We generally do print swaps about every 3 or 4 months. But we have this recent rash of people signing up but then not sending their prints. It's a little disappointing.

I wonder if there's any interest in doing another print swap? It's about time if we're still interested in doing such things.
All I ask is that if we do another one, don't sign up if you aren't going to follow through and send the prints. The last round we had like 3 people who never got prints. That is beyond irritating. Don't make me have to hire goons.
