Eight at the mo. Had to say goodbye to my DM sandals last autumn - 2 years active and faithful service. Looking for another pair in time for the warmer weather .It's a serious struggle to stay out of Cloggs main UK retailer in Brum.

5 pairs of the classic 1460 (black - brown - cherry red - white - blue) - my wife 4 pair of 1460 (black - brown - cherry red - blue).

I suppose you can never have enough. I am the Imelda Marcos of the Doc Marten world. I have dozens of pairs, but I collect them. I have loads of really vintage ones, ones you can't buy anymore, who know they may be worth millions in years to come. However I do wear them as well, my favourites are black 10 hole which I wear everywhere.

Good news. I don't feel so odd about obsessing now I know I'm not alone in the world, lol. You're making me think: I've a friend who's got a really old pair. He offered them to me a few times but I declined. Might just take him up on them, after all. It'd be nice to have vintage.

I've just realised that I have 15 pairs, mostly 1460's in various colours and pattern, also dolly shoes and zip up boots for lazy days ;-D

I say you can never have too many! My addiction started when i was 17 years old. You are right there are so many types out there and they all look cool and they are sooo comfy. I have 3 types of docs at the moment.

My name is Joe and I have Doc Marten problem: I own 13 pairs of DMs (mostly 3-hole and 8-hole) as bad as that sounds only 11 pairs are my size, the other two pair are not my size.
I bought them at the thrift store just because they were cheap and so frickin' cool I could not help myself...yes I know, I have a Doc Marten problem!

I have 5 pairs and my girlfriend has 15 and I don't think that will be the end of it, I'm sure there are more to come. They are a bit addictive! Photos to follow - stay tuned!

hi also new to the group , i have 8 pairs, all of different styles for different occassions. a couple of pairs ive had since i was younger so i keep them for setimental reasons. so dr martens have always in one way or another been involved in part of my make up. If i dont have a pair then my partner would wear them !!!! they represent changes in fashions, trends but also individualism !! i have a freind who is up to nearly twenty. That will be a photo that i will be posting!!
