SQ-A back release issues
 |
I have an SQ-A that I removed the 220 back to shoot with the polaroid back after taking some shots I put the 220 back on again. I decided to shoot some more polaroid film and find the release button doesn't operate properly (doesn't press down all the way) and I cannot remove the 220 back.
The dark slide is in properly so that's not the issue.
Ideas, suggestions?
Thanks

same thing happened to me but without film in it. the problem turned out to be with the interlock....once i got it off i had to take the cover off the back and fix it. how did i get it off? wish i could remember.....i think it involved wiggling the dark slide around. at the bottom of the dark slide there is a little tab that goes into the back which causes the release button is be activated. if wiggling doesn't work, i would try sticking a paper clip in at that spot to try and release the button, then once the button is released, hold it down and stick the dark slide in. good luck

I noticed that my sqa has this problem sometimes. turns out it happens when the darkslide is inserted but doesn't connect with the lock inside, instead the little piece of metal simply slides right past it. I now have to make sure that I angle the slide so that the two will meet.
now if i could figure out why my shutter is releasing when the slide is in....
