It was quite nice taking pics with this lens, but the manual focus is really tricky. Hopefully I will get this sorted out later, with more practice

Nice portrait - the eyes are sharp, very important. Maybe the shadow is a little harsh and could be reduced with a second light or, more simply, with a reflector. Well exposed and composed shot - no problems there. Keep it up. John

Yep, focus on the eyes is great. I don't mind the shadow as it seems to be what you were going for.

The focus on the lower part of her face seems soft, but could be from the DoF of shooting it at f/1.8. Maybe around f/4 would have been a little better.

Overall, very nice shot.

i do not often think this but i really believe itd be a better photo with her in the center. great focus, though she looks a bit too edited by the cheek which really doesnt fit the "natural pure beauty" feeling i get from this shot.
