Unloading Images

It's not working anymore... Suddenly, unloading images using bridge is not working (CS3). It tells me that it cannot import photo's using this device (the 5d) and to check that that device is connected properly and that the battery is charged.... which all of it is. Oh- and it's not even saying 'busy' on the lcd like it usually does.
Any ideas on what's happening? And what I should do?

yes, I'm on my out the door to get a card reader- however it still doesn't fix the problem of not being able to transfer images using my camera.

as long as the camera works and it is only an issue transferring through the usb, then eh, use the card reader. much faster anyway.

Card reader's much, much faster. I haven't transferred direct from camera since two cameras ago (although I tested the function when I got my 5D -- way too slow for me by a factor of 10).
