#1 Carlton Covered Bridge, Swanzey, NH - What I like most about the photo is the excellent condition on the bridge and the reflection in the water.

#2 Logan Mill Bridge in Clinton County in northcentral Pennsylvania.
Built in 1874, restored in 2003. It is the last 19th Century-built bridge in Clinton County.

I like the colors; a fresh coat of paint certainly helped!

I think there are even less in Massachusetts and I found that strange considering the number of covered bridges in neighboring New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine.

#5 Inside the Logan Mills' Bridge

Time Stands Still

The Logan Mills Covered Bridge is located on State Route 2007 in Logan Township. The 55 foot Queen Truss bridge was built in 1874 and carries Route 2007 over Fishing Creek in Clinton County. It is the only remaining covered bridge in the County that once had many covered bridges. It is owned by the State and maintained by PennDot. The bridge is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

#6 Outside the Logan Mills Bridge (please feel free to delete if I'm only allowed one shot)

Logan Mills

The perspective of this shot lets you see the old storefront, which is currently being restored.

#7 The World's Longest Bridge

World's Longest Covered Bridge

This is in Hartland, New Brunswick, Canada and is 1282 feet long. I came past here on a touring holiday September/October 2006. I like the visual effect of the tiles on the roof and the side boards of the bridge, the shape of the bridge supports with the shadows, the perspective of the length of the bridge and the colours of the changing autumn colours.

#8 McConnell's Mill Covered Bridge in western Pennsylvania.
Covered Bridge
This bridge is a part of McConnell's Mill State Park and crosses Slippery Rock Creek.
I'm not sure of the town's name. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere.
There is a great old mill beside it that has been preserved.
I like this shot because the bridge is "suggested" but not really seen.
I hope you enjoy!

#11 These are all nice. I'd like to put forward my own B&W shot of the Fallasburg Covered Bridge in Michigan. I think B&W is classic for covered bridges.

Bad Saeckingen.
German-Swiss bordercrossing. The river is the Rhine. This was site of a bridge since the 13th century. The "new" covered bridge on firm stone pillars was constructed in 1573.

Known as the Kissing Bridge due to the ambient lighting, creating a romantic mood. Also, the LAST covered bridge in Ontario.

Folks, this contest is very old. The admin who started it demoted himself and left in mid-contest, not looking for a succesor but leaving the group to the next name in line. Nobody here will change the group avatar or moderate and close this contest, simply as nobody with a higher status than "member" is active. :(
