Urban decay - NYC
 |
I'm going to do some photo shoot for a photography project, my theme is 'Depleted Urbanism' . Does anybody has any suggestions about some decayed sites in NYC. Touristy places are off topic for me.
Thanks in advance.

First, I'd say look at the group's map and see if there are clusters;

second, I'd say search in the group pool using the tag 'nyc' and see what you like and look for descriptions.

Third, some rules of thumb: a lot of the best urban decay is outside Manhattan, since Manhattan real estate is quite valuable and doesn't stay dormant for long. All of the other four boroughs have urban decay, it's tough to say what neighborhoods have the most.
Is there a specific type of urban decay you're after? I know lots of warehouse-y neighborhoods, but they aren't necessarily urban decay.

Thanks Frank, that was helpful.
Warehouses are OK for me but is there anything like a building complex like thing or a street or a industrial building ?
Any one else has any idea?
