If you’re reading this posting then you’re obviously interested in the physical ruins of man, and how they age in a natural setting - untouched by man. The book, while tedious at times to read, not only goes discusses the present state of structures and how they’ll perform amidst a future without man, but it also gives us the historical context from which they came.

Speaking of historical context; If I shoot a site in-depth and post a set, my goal will be to supply the reader with as much background information on each location as I can (when available, I’m starting to include historical images for reference as well). This allows for a more cohesive and contextual learning experience for everyone else. After all, how else can we truly appreciate what’s remaining if we don’t know what it stood for?
