Started out with a Minolta 35mm SLR, but made the move to digital (using Flickr as an excuse) with a Fuji Finepix F11 (and just the occasional low res shot with Motorola V3 mobilephone).
Have just moved up to Canon EOS 400D DSLR.

Started with Canon PowerShot A5, then used the Canon PowerShot S3 IS for a while, and am now using the Canon PowerShot S5 IS until I get my first dSLR. I will likely keep the S5 because of its great super-macro feature.

Not many Olympus users on here, I've noticed. Olympus is kind of like the weird step-child nobody wants to acknowledge is there, while Canon and Nikon duke it out for world supremacy.
I use an Olympus E-500 with the kit and 40-150mm lenses and a few filters and a Sony Cybershot W70 for snapshots and when I need a more portable camera (also for macro shots, as its close focusing abilities are superior to the E-500, even when using a magnification filter). I've also been getting into film again, using a friend's Nikon F2, a little "ant camera," and a cardboard pinhole camera from Japan (though the instructions are in Kanji and I'm still figuring the thing out).

My first photos on flickr were taken with a Nikon Coolpix 5700. Next I began using my Nikon Coolpix 8800. The camera I carry in my purse at all times is the Nikon Coolpix S7c.
I do have some scans of my older photos taken with a Nikkormatt film camera purchased in the early 1970's.
I also post photos taken by my husband using a Olympus SP510UZ. There are also photos taken by my husband or me using a Nikon Lite-Touch Zoom 150 FD film camera.

I always get a kick out of these kinds of discussions. It always ends up being 'who's got the best gear' or 'my camera trumps everyone's'. Is this about photography? Because, I have a good camera, but it doesn't have a 'skill' or 'talent' button. ;) People take good photos, not cameras. Just my two cents, I'll get off the soap box now.

Olympus E-500 and a Minolta 35 mm SLR that I have been using since my son was born (20 yrs) Not many shots in 35 over the past 10 years as I hate to pay for film and processing. I am pleased with the quality but I'm a instant gratification kind of guy and have waited forever for the Digital SLR to be affordable.

I started out with a kinda throwaway digital camera that came as a cheap gift for joining a consumer support organisation- that died on me and by now has reached the great Bin in the sky.I also used an old canon powershot 600 from around 1996.Then something strange happened.My beloved brother, Luc, gave me a brandnew Nikon D40 18-55mm kit for christmas 2007 and I'm using this since 1 january 2008.
God knows what I'm capable of...
