account problem
 |
Hi Edwin,
I really doesn't understand the account process...
1) I created a account called cochedelaferte and uploaded two fractals ; OK.
2) But after that, after a logout, i was able to reconnect me under Yahoo, but needed to create a secund account (sergio2009) under Flickr.. Strange...
3) Not connected, i see all fractals of the group, except mines. Some problem for a friend, which i intend to interest at Gnofract4D. Finally, i'm the only one which can see my fractals, actually connected under sergio2009.
What is the best way to clarify all that ?
Best regards,
Sergio

Hi,
I don't really know what the story is with your first problem. Flickr changed from having their own login system to using Yahoo logins sometime last year - maybe that's related.
For #3, I think your account must be marked with 'not for display in public areas' or you need to mark your pictures as 'safe' so they show up for everyone. Have a look at this Flickr help topic:
flickr.com/help/filters/ for more details

Hi,
"Flickr changed from having their own login system to using Yahoo logins sometime last year - maybe that's related." : effectively, i suspected something like that. I'll reupload my two fractals under my second Flickr account (sergio2009) and, after that, if all OK, i'll remove my first account (cochedelaferte).
Thank's greatly for your answer !

No luck... I can upload any fractal, allright if i'm connected, but after deconnection i see all fractals of the group, except mines. Of course all parameters are correct (public display). Strange...

I can see your images when signed in, but not when signed out. I am pretty sure this must be related to Flickr's filter settings. You could try contacting Flickr support if the help page I pointed to doesn't help.

OK, solved : it seems that every Flickr member need to have 5 pictures available. Only after that the Flickr team can mark the account as "safe" and the pictures are visible for everyone, even signed out.
