Does art creates tangible social change. And if it does, how?
If it does and we give it credit for the good we do, then what about the bad? For me as an artist, art gave me a sense of a meaningul life, so I would say yes. I'd love to hear your thoughts and see images of art that changed your or our lives.
The live show is tomorrow night in San Francisco:
Join me, <Heather and otherworldly beatboxer + live looper Kid Beyond (Coachella), queer writer and activist Kirk Read (How I Learned to Snap, Sex Worker's Art Tour), and ubiquitous game designer Jane McGonigal (Institute for the Future) who makes games that take place in “real life” as they discuss whether or not art creates tangible social change. And if it does, how?
