I know it's frowned upon to post like this, but I'm playing the "Group Founder" card with this topic....
You may have noticed I've not been around much - Work has been "interesting" to say the least.
Recently I was approached to be an independent administrator of a web forum by Will King - the founder of King of Shaves.
He wants a forum so people can talk about shaving (and skin care), and so the general public can put forward what they want from a shave and related skin care.
The trouble is most shave hardware is designed by engineers who have a certain point of view - I need people who shave (or will do) and who also have the creative flare that the HiMoM members have.
Girls and guys - I need people (you!!!) to get chatting and sharing you views on how you do it, what you do it with, and what you'd like to see to do it better!
I'll even set up a thread for photo's of shaving related images - How creative can you be? - Maybe (maybe) I can arrange a prize or something for the best pictures - I don't know - It's all a new thing!!!
There is also a forum to just share jokes, rants, raves, games etc... but it needs creativity and the type of shine that comes with your imagination!
I'd appreciate what ever you can add!
Gracious thanks - LB.

Well, out of the thousands of members here I am astounded that none have come across.
I am in several other forums and had a handful of members join - about 1 in 100... so at those odds I should get a fair few members from Flickr (you'd think).
I know there are people here who would be into this shave forum, but I guess they just don't read the posts.
I'd appreciate it if you would put the word around.
Many thanks.

Ok my pet peeve is this...
Why do woman pay extra for 'womans razors'? As far as I can see the only real difference ( apart from price per unit ) is they are pink / purple & may have flowers on... Why are they so much more expensive? Surely they are the same price to produce as the blue versions...
Personally I buy good value disposable mens razors & mens shaving foam.

Same goes for women's shaving cream. It's $2-$4 more than men's!

The gillette blades feel dull right out of the box, the german blades can be used for about 3 weeks until they feel as dull as new gillette blades. It cuts VERY close, and though I have shaved the top off of rough skin a few times, I have never sliced myself as often happens with other disposable razors.
The razor it's self is about $45 and the blades are cheap. If you get one, make sure that it is all substantial metal. I think this one is chromed brass.
I have a friend who uses one of these and a strop to keep the blades sharp until enough material wears off that his shaving becomes inconsistent.

I have to use an electric. My neck is far too sensitive for blades.
