i'm curious if anyone has tips for taking care of Himalayan eyes? i imagine everyone's cat is different.... i have to clean my Himalayan's eyes at least 4 times a day. it took me a little while to get a good system down... but not before some of the eye gunk hardened a little underneathe her eyes. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remedy this? Thanks!

You're doing the right thing by wiping the eyes several times a day if they're messy! One trick I discovered was making sure I do a deep cleaning in the morning and at night with a wet cloth, then running a flea comb through the fur around the eyes (this will remove crusties), and then drying well. I also use a q-tip in the eye creases. Since I've been doing the whole thing twice a day, he stays clean for most of the day.

oh my goodness-thank you so much for taking the time to reply!! i don't know anyone else with a himalayan (or a cat with high maintenance eyes) so i've been desperate for tips! thanks so much!

I know there are wipes that are specially made just for their eyes. I think you can buy them at any Petsmart or any other pet supply store.
