My form of protest. You can help.

Hello all,
I just submitted a photo at jpg for the America theme that I think it needs to be voted in. Before you tell me I am in the wrong group let me explain. I am fairly new to jpg and flickr but I have to say that I am not new to the kind of "bad business" that we are all upset about. I decided to show my displeasure with one last submission to the magazine. Please click on it, if you want, and read why I submitted it. I was about to delete my account late last night when this idea came to me. I think it is a fitting tribute to the people that came up with the idea of this forum.
My Last Issue: Freedom Of Speech

By the way here is the link. www.jpgmag.com/photos/147580

You are correct, Holly.
I think.
On the other hand, I quit jpgmag on computer#1. When I arrived home and visited the site using computer#2, I was still logged in and able to cast votes. Odd, but fun.

I understand the purpose of this group and was in the process of canceling my account with jpg when I came up with this idea. My reason for posting this here is because this is the core group that is upset by how Paul has handled this situation and the lack of any kind of communication about it, especially on the jpg site. My pupose was to try to get some support in taking the message we are all trying to send to jpg itself. If Paul does not want to deal with the ones that are upset he need only keep away from flickr for a while. If there is a photo on jpg that is being voted on then it is something that is not only on the site he has to deal with every day. but it is also there for every other member of jpg to see. If it gets a lot of votes then it sends a message that he is really going to have to deal with. What if it gets voted in? I think this kind of message is worth keeping your account for now. In addition to posting this picture (and it is a picture that I took, not something I copied) I have deleted the rest of my photos to remove content from the site. A bunch of canceled accounts does create a pretty big message. A bunch of active accounts with zero content and their members voting on an image that expresses displeasure with the head of jpg......I think that is quite a big message too. Content is everything to jpg. Without it they have nothing.
I think that the intent here is to get some explanation of the attempt to change the history of jpg well listed on the site and have Derek and Heather credited a bit more on the creation of jpg and the evolution of it til now. Basically I would like to see the head of jpg and 8020 publishing, Paul, act in the best interest of jpg and it's members, us. If that were to happen I think everyone would be a lot better off and we can keep something that I think we all really liked having.
I have had a few people contact me from this group and they have gone back on to vote for the photo. I do not pretend that it is a great photo and I will say again that I have chosen to NOT take the $100 if it were to get voted in. My main attempt was to take the issue to jpg itself. I would like to keep my account and understand if people here do not want me to be. I think our goals are the same and if you agree with that and want to help then great. If you don't then that is fine too and I respect your view on it. I mean no offense to those that have deleted their account I am only suggesting another possibility to show our displeasure with this mess.

I noticed the same thing, between my home and work computers. Weird to be able to cast a vote from a deleted account...
