Most people visit touristy spots, but I think there is a lot of beautiful places in the interiors. While the "IT industry" has spoiled a lot of natural beauty, there are still some pristine ones:
1. Coorg
2. Mangalore suburbs (visit in the rainy season)

I've only spent a couple of weeks in northwest India, but I found Kashmir to be beautiful. Ah, there's so much more for me to see in that magnificent country..

India is a wonderful country, expecially for photographers. I love Himachal Pradesh, especially Dharamsala and Rewalsar near Mandi. Ladakh is also incredibly wonderful. Really old Buddhist monasteries with magnificent murals like in Alchi and Likir.

By a MILE it has to be Mumbai..the maximum city. I live in England and am doing everyhting I can to leave England and to settle in Mumbai.
However, I really REALLY REALLY hated both delhi and Agra!!

Here's a question i'm often asked, and always find very difficult to answer. Yet, for there is no place like Kashi, Banaras, Varanasi....the oldest living city in the world!
