Amazing Book
 |
Brian,
I just wanted to say that our book was one of those few books which changed how I view the world. Now, everywhere I see things I did not see before: transformers, cell towers, patterns of girders in bridges, highway interchange layouts. It is like a veil has been lifted from my eyes,
Thank you for sharing this with the world.
(For those who do not know about this book it is "Infrastructure: A Field Guide to the Industrial Landscape" by Brian Hayes)

It's so great to find this group. Brian, I'm in the middle of your book right now. It really is mind altering.

I had planned to recommend Brian's book, and to ask if people had suggestions for other books of industrial photography.
I saw Brian's book noted in Science, and have been working my way through it in a leisurely way. I've learned a lot, and the photos are great.
I know there's lots of good industrial photography out there. A search on Amazon turned up a lot of little niche publications but no books I lusted after. I got a book called The Works which explains some of the infrastructure of NYC but it has diagrams rather than photos.
