About London by Londoners

A group for pictures of London taken by Londoners, current or former.

If you are going to request to join London by Londoners, please tell us which criteria (outlined below) you meet in your request! If you don't, your application will be declined.

Every member lives, or has lived, in this; one of the great cities of the world at some point during their lives, and thus stands side-by-side with Samuel Pepys, Dr. Johnson, Benjamin Franklin, The Krays and other such interesting people.

If you are from London then you are welcome to join this holiday-snap free zone dedicated to our home. Although there are no criteria for what make us Londoners in our hearts, for the purposes of group administration, we will ask that you either are a resident here currently or have been a resident for six continuous months at some point.

DRACONIAN POSTING RULES AND GUIDELINES (Under Revision)

1. Only 3 Pictures at a time, you may not post more until someone else has (Thus the group page should not be dominated by a single person's pictures)

2. No more than 3 pictures a day per person (So theoretically no one person will occupy more than 1/3 of any photo pool page). This is enforced by the Flickr pool posting limit.

3. Try to only post photos which are directly related to London, it's buildings, people, places, etc. rather than a picture you just happened to take in London. A picture of your dog in your Hackney flat - no. A picture of your dog urinating on a member of the Household Cavalry's leg - yes.

Photo pool will be vetted but I think everyone should be able to avoid uploading everything from their stream which has a 'london' tag all at once.
