LOH Mascot OMBRE Part II - UPDATES, cont'd...

Isn't he just so pretty? He's on the left of course, with his sister, Star.
Well mannered and just ready to be somebody's wonderful companion and friend, he is just as dear as ever. He has a little bitty scar place on that eye you can hardly see unless you are very close. He does have some compromise of sight but we have been very careful to get him used to things and he handles things just wonderfully. He can see "some" out of it but we are quite sure not perfectly. More pictures will be coming, look at this one in the big size. It is so very clear.....I love it. Hope all are having a great late summer/early fall.

What a lovely photo this is - beautifully composed. I love the light on dark of Ombie compared to his little sister.

Oh, friends, you need to see our Ombre now....I'm SO proud of him! He just started under saddle, no one has been on him yet, but he acts like he always wore one, almost! I will have some new photos soon, and really, everyone says this about their own animal, I realize, but I have been around a lot of them, and this guy is special.

He's learning so much-I'll get you a brand new photo of him under saddle this week-promise!! I have several more nice ones of him but you need to see him on his new job!!! I'm away on business but this week-look for them!

Julie,
Thanks for keeping us updated on our darling " OMBRE." It is really fun to track his progress over the past two years (wow...has it really been that long already?). He sure has come a long way since then, and we're so proud to have him as our mascot to represent our LOVE OF HORSES group.
If you have a video camera (sometimes digital cameras have this feature), wouldn't it be fun to shoot a short video clip and upload it to YouTube - then post the link in here. It would be so interesting to see a live video clip of our OMBIE :-)
Please give him a slice of bread with molasses and an extra hug from me :-)

Here he is as he came with his sister to visit me recently-hey you are so right about the video. I will work on that-it would be great! I put this in another thread by itself in case people just wanted the update. I'll have some saddle shots soon!

It's winter again and the delightful Ombre is two and a half years old. He is an extraordinary creature, and is spending some time during the terrible weather we are having, inside a stall in the barn you see him entering above. If we can, we let him out for a while during the day. When I go to get him, he's such a loving horse, nuzzles and sticks his head in the halter (!!) Amazing. I will have more photos soon. Hope all are having a wonderful winter.

Wow... 2 & 1/2 years old... Has it really been 2 years already?
What a handsome gentleman he turned out to be. It's really interesting to track Ombre's career and progress here in the "For the Love Of Horses " Flickr group (for those who are curious, Ombre's story begins HERE
