11 Jun 08 - Welcome! Just wanted to send out a quick thank you to those who have emailed me photos so far. Also, you are all certainly welcome to submit to the pool, and I may take a quick glance now and then, but the best way to gaurentee that I see your awesome photos is going to be emailing me the JPGS. I cannot stress that enough. I have an additional full time job at another publication, so PLEASE email me JPGS for requests. Also, please do NOT send photoshopped photos. Thanks!

About Popular Photography Magazine

This group was created for photographers, professional and aspiring to submit photographs to Popular Photography magazine.

Popular Photography & Imaging is the world's largest imaging magazine, with an editorial staff twice the size of its nearest competitor. Famed for its comprehensive coverage of the latest equipment, inspiring images by leading photographers, in-depth how-to articles and authoritative test reports, Popular Photography & Imaging draws upon top professionals in the field to inform committed readers who are passionate about pictures.

We also look for wonderful images from various sources including FLICKR. This group will provide you with the opportunity to have your work seen in the magazine and even have the chance to talk about your photographic experiences for the readers.

Currently I am working as a freelance photo editor for Popular Photography and I am hoping that this will become a continuing project that will benefit both the magazine and the photographers of Flickr.

I will be posting callouts on here for the magazine and you each will have an opportunity to submit corresponding photos to me. I will take the best of the best and submit them to the magazine for publication. (Of course you'll be notified before they're published to get permission)

When submitting please do the following:

email all submissions to popularphotography@gmail.com

email jpgs, not links to Flickr accounts.

include name and best way to contact you (phone or email)

MAKE SURE your image is at least 8x10, 300 dpi for print. (They need to be big enough for print and cell phone photos just won't cut it.)
