Hi guys! I want to welcome all the new members to the group. I'm expanding it slowly but surely. I would really love it if all of you could send me jpgs or links to your favorite images! I will be meeting with the editors again in a week and could use some killer photos to show them! The thing I'm finding difficult is that most of the images on Flickr are horizontal and they specifically need vertical images for a few of the pages.

1) Any GREAT vertical photo with a good composition. No specific subject, can be a portrait, or a landscape or a still life. Strange angles that work, etc. NO PHOTOSHOPPED IMAGES. No combinations of images put together through photshop unfortunately.

Things to stay away from: (even though I love some of them)
puppies and kitties

monkeys and apes (overdone, but the editors have a tought time saying no, so I just can't show them to them)

children, unless an amazing image

clowns. people don't really like clowns.

hot air baloons

I'm sure there's more, I may come back and ammend this list later.

Things we are looking for:

A series of photos which shows how you got the shot. Maybe 3 or 4 photos of something you were trying to shoot, like a shallow depth of field photo or a silohette photo. Or anything really. A series where we can see how you got what you got and the different things you did to get that successful shot! (these can be vertical or horizontal)

A difficult lighting technique that you worked on. Maybe shooting glass or metal or anything shiny. Dramatic lighting situation. (these can be vertical or horizontal)

And of course, that amazing vertical composition photo you have hidden amongst your 1000 flickr photos! (Just pick your favs and send them my way!)
