About !Rock That Disability!

This is a group for anyone with a disability, physical, mental or otherwise. (But not just them!)

Pictures you want to share of you using your wheelchair, walker, cane, braces or any other assistive device? This is the place. Or, even if you have a disability that may not show any outward signs and just want a place to showcase yourself or your best work.

Have pictures of handicap signs or other related items? They belong here too! ANYONE is welcome to join, even if you DON'T have a disability. Feel free to post pictures of friends or strangers with disabilities or pictures of accessible areas and items. But if you aren't disabled in some way please do not post pictures here if they aren't disability related.

May this also be a place to discuss issues, problems, or concerns when dealing with your disability. And also the joys and advantages of our lives. Above all, have fun!

I, the creator of this group, have Muscular Dystrophy. I use a motorized scooter to get around most of the time but still walk.

I'd like to suggest that you make an effort to comment on our fellow members photos. Look at it this way, you like comments on your photos right? Well so does pretty much everyone else. I think communication should be a big part of this kind of group and comments are a basic part of that.

When I first began Rock That Disability over two years ago (wow! I can't believe it's been that long) there was almost no disabled group presence on Flickr. I'm happy to say that isn't the case anymore. I've compiled a rough list of many other disability related groups on Flickr for your convenience. Even though I love my all-encompassing disability group, I know a lot of people also enjoy something more specific to their individual cases. So here they are. If I've missed your group or you would like to be added to this list just shoot me a quick message.
