About Softies for Mirabel - 2008 Appeal

We're getting ready for one of our favourite crafty causes - Softies for Mirabel!

We're asking the craft community to make a softie - which we'll exhibit and auction to raise money for The Mirabel Foundation. Mirabel is a wonderful organisation which supports the children of families affected by substance abuse. They do amazing, important work - and we try to support THEM in our own small crafty ways! You can find them at www.mirabelfoundation.com

We'll be devoting the Mikes window to exhibiting the softies from June 1st 2008. They will be auctioned online from Sunday 27th July - via eBay.

You can make one softie.. or lots! You can hand-sew it or machine sew it... You can knit it.. or crochet it... You might even like to have a crafternoon devoted to softie making... or perhaps you have a social group who might like to have a go at this together!

Keep us posted by letting us know how YOU are getting involved... and upload lots of photos of whatever you decide to make for Mirabel!

You can mail your softie to Meet Me at Mikes, 63 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy, 3065, Victoria, Australia. We'll look after it nicely until it's sent to it's new home! PLEASE include your email address - so I can let you know when your softie touches down!

If you are using someone else's softie pattern - be sure to email them and ask if it's OK to reproduce it for this Charity Sale. All funds raised will go to The Mirabel Foundation. Every red cent!
