Here is a pic of my baby boy. I wanted to see if anybody else might be thinking this was pretty good. It took forever to keep him still and focused so maybe that is why I enjoy this one so much.

I like the lighting on one side of the face and the B&W conversion is good too.
I think the picture could have been improved by trying to get him to look at the camera a bit more (rather than at something off to the side). Also, next time try a different angle where the horizontal white background isnot in view (not sure if this is a baseboard or a table top?) to reduce the distraction.
Hope this is the kind of critique you were looking for. Keep trying - love to see some more.
