About Textures for Layers

Textures for Layers is all about sharing textures and the techniques for using them. Membership is open to everyone who has more than one original image available on their photostream. Pornographers and hate-mongers need not apply.

GROUP RULES:

• The pool is for donated textures only. They must be the creation of the poster (no derivatives) and at least 1000 pixels on a shortest side.

• All textures must be free to our members and marked in a way that clearly indicates your intent to share. There are three (3) ways to do that:
........ Put your permission in the description box or a tag (it an be as simple as a tag that says "for T4L use") - or-
........ Make the url of the original size available as a separate link (see FAQ) - or-
........ Assign a Creative Commons license to your image. Use their guide to understand what each kind of license means.

• Caveat Emptor! Only those textures posted by the administrators have been vetted. It's up to the end user to check a texture's ownership, as well as any usage restrictions.

• Admittance of a texture to the pool is at the discretion of the Admin team. Please respect their decisions.

• Always ask before starting a new discussion or posting a new tutorial.

• Please add small versions of your finished images to our latest Show & Tell thread -and- post to Noise, Texture, and Layer Results.

• Stealing, in any form, will not be tolerated. Do not share (or reshare) of what you do not own. No harvesting of textures for sale, or for posting off-site. Anyone found breaking this rule will be banned and reported to both Flickr and Yahoo without prior warning.

• No sassing or blocking any member of the administration. It takes a lot of work to run this group. Be polite and we'll all have fun!
