heya, glad I joined, hope you like it yadda yadda yadda. I just posted more than 3 before I realised, I think i got rid of all the excess but if not, tell me or delete your least favourite, whatever.

Hi folks! I'm not really based in the UK, but I read that everybody is welcome, so I take my chances. I love the UK, needless to say, I work with the English language on a daily basis, and I regard Hastings as my English "home town". I've been there several times, the first time in 1991, last time in 2005, and one of my dearest friends live there.

hello. I am from Guernsey, but was born in Ipwich; currently I am living in Middlesbrough where I am studying for my MSc in Forensic Visualisation.
I have always been a bit obsessive about taking photos of everything, so finding flickr has been quite enjoyable since I can now let my photos out of the box and let them run around a bit.
After doing a few modules of forensics-based photography I have been able to learn the basic principles and am now trying my best to apply this to more creative endevours.

Hello, I'm living in North London, I've been taking photos for a couple of years now and my flickr subscription just renewed for the first time, having said that despite a year of uploading to flickr I've never really looked into the groups/pools aspect of this site so I'm now dipping my toe into the water!

Hello, I've just joined this group a few days ago and thought I'd introduce myself. I've not much to say about photography other than 'Iike/don't like that picture' - I'm just an amateur who likes to mess about with my camera.
I enjoy architecture but that 'cause I get a feeling if I start taking pictures of strangers they'd get all defensive - I know I probably would.
I've seen some amazing photo's on Flickr and hoping to get some inspiration and pick up some tricks. I'd really like some constructive criticism on my work so if you've the time or the inclination it would be appreciated.

Hello everyone *waves*
I live in London & have worked for 20+ years designing textiles, not big on words as Dyslexic.
My brother gave me a camera when I was 10, had a little square cube as a flash on top, 4 flashes to each cube...lol....funny little camera, still had it until I was 20. First SLR when I was 25.
I'v just started to use a digital, great fun. Love to take photos, great to be able to see, chat & maybe meet up with others.

Hi to you all, I'm john and live in the East Midlands. I've recently purchased my first SLR camera, which is a Canon 400d.
I've always liked photography but thought I would only use it to take holiday snaps so put off buying one for years.
Now I own one I can't put it down. I'm addicted to photography now, as I hoped I would be. I can now capture the pictures the way i see them.
I hope you will enjoy them as much as I did taking them. I have a lot to learn about photography so hopefully my photos should improve. All comments welcome.
