From the middle of America (continent, not US), my best regards for everyone on the group. I´m quite new on Flickr too but i have found the place really awesome. As for my pictures, the topic of Urban Fragments is fantastic... always love that kind of approach to images, and surfing a while among your pics convinced me to increase my hobby.
Thanks to all.

I'm Peter and I love shooting buildings/urban scenes. I bring my Canon digital P&S pretty much everywhere I go and where possible I also bring my Pentax S1a 35mm.
Love this group!
*edit: oh ya, I'm from Windsor, Ontario (Canadian side of the border, 5 minutes from Detroit, MI) but I live in Toronto, so most of my stuff is from Toronto & Detroit but I've been around the world a bit lately ...

I'm an artist living in Maine, and when I get a chance to take pictures, it's for pure enjoyment only. It's my relaxation basically. I have always loved to take photos of architecture & such.
I get to NYC a couple of times of year, and get fun shots there, but I have to tell you, there are some pretty cool photos to be taken right here on my property....200 year old house, barn and out buildings make great shots. ALSO...our great old coastal towns have beautiful and weathered bits and bobs too!

Cris, I should take some pics for you. Here in my country there is a tendency for what it is called here "architecture for a humid tropic (or rainforest maybe but not being for the forest....) Sort of an environmental approach and clever use of materials that produce some interesting subjects.
Best regards,
D.

Hi All... I live in the UK (Midlands Region 30 - 40 miles West of Birmingham). Just found this group and loved looking at some of the work posted here. Although my efforts are not in the same league as some of what I have seen here, I would be grateful for constructive comments on my work. I have recently invested in a decent DSLR, so hopefully will be producing more work soon.

Hi all! :)
I live in Oslo, Norway and photograph as much as I can with an Fujifilm F11 compact digital, and occasionally with a pre-war 120 film camera. So far that one hasn't produced anything usable.
Although I thing I'm doing aokay with the technical parts of photography and editing, I'm trying to get better at actually seeing and shooting good motives. I only upload pictures I'm satisfied with, but all feedback and opinions are very welcome! Especially suggestions for how to do things better!
Thanks!

I don't usually do the whole "introduce yourself" thing, not because it's not good to know people, but because it tends to be a long list of names I won't remember until I get to know you, anyway :-).

Hello, I'm new in Flickr and also a beginner at photographing. I've discovered that when I'm out with my camera I keep noticing things that I normally wouldn't, like irrelevant details in built environment. That's one reason why I joined this group, another is that I also enjoy seeing the world through other people's eyes in their environment. On a more general note I think that Flickr is great and taking photos can be very addictive =)

Hi I'm Gracie from Michigan. I'm moving to NYC in July. Currently I work for the All Game Guide www.allgame.com and live in Ypsilanti with my two cats and my boyfriend. I'm an aspiring author who wants to write novels one day. My interest in Photography started in High School when I did a half day class everyday at the Career Center and has continued well after college. Currently, I click with a Canon Rebel 35 mm SLR. I develop and print my own B&W pictures in my darkroom/closet/bathroom, but hey, it works and I got a great deal on the equipment. I'm saving up to purchase a digital camera but will keep my "old school" equipment because darkroom work calms me down.
