Hello!
I can't really say where I'm from. I'm kind of nomadic in a way.
Here it is in chronological order:
Laguna, Philippines: Lived half my life here
San Diego, USA
Detroit, USA
Los Angeles, USA
Orlando, USA
Detroit, USA: Have family here, so stick around here for a while.
Next prospective move is NYC or Toronto
Why? I don't know... Just cause. Can't stay still in one place longer than 2 and a half years.
Anyway. I love MUSIC, SOUND, and PHOTOGRAPHY.
Music and sound seems redundant: let me explain briefly
Music from an writer's perspective
Sound from a recording engineer / designer / scientist perspective (my current career field)
and Photography from a lover's perspective
I love to talk about myself. I like when people talk about themselves.
I'm lighthearted, comical, and serious when appropriate.
I enjoy Flickr. (Turning into an addict)

Wow! I am one of the new ones here. I love taking photos, but I am not a professional photographer. I love taking photos in a urban context, so I am glad I found a nice place for them. At the moment I work and try to live (when I have free time) in Germany.

Hi all newbs! I am also new to flickr and have always enjoyed photography. Just bought my first dslr, canon rebel xti, and have been snapping pictures every chance I get. Im originally from NY but have been living in fort collins colorado for the past 3 years. I figured this was a good place to get advice and inspiration so feel free to look at my pictures and critique! Once my camera battery is charged I plan on uploading a bunch of urban fragments related pictures =-)

had flickr for a while but never really explored it, just thought it was an offshoot of yahoo's photo storage system. now that i've been exploring it... i've seen it's more than just that. revamped my photos and decided to 'store' the photos from my collection which i like best. photos are from my travels in Indonesia, Philippines and UAE. mostly street scenes and candid shots of places... (my own phraseology! hehehe)

David here, in Toronto, my home for now. British background though I hardly know the place. Born in Germany, grew up in Africa and Asia, lived and worked in the Mideast, Asia and N. America.
I've been taking snaps on and off forever, but much more on than off since joining Flickr in Sept 07. Learned a lot in that time, looking at other people's photos and trying to think of things to say about them.
Most of my own snaps being what you might call fragments of the imagination, and Toronto being one never-ending patchwork of urban fragments, I suppose this group is the right place for me. At any rate, it's been fun reading through the self-introductions here. Hello to everyone!

I grew up in Detroit, Michigan, and work there, and am obsessed with taking pictures of my surroundings. The history of the city is amazing, although sad, but I love it. I am happy to share my photos with you, whether they be shots of buildings or something goofy and totally off the wall -- a very common theme in the D.
