About Vancouver Streetside

About. This is a group focused on candid street photography in Metro Vancouver. This is not a place for architecture but rather people and their urban environment. Photographs include street portraits and stolen moments. Your images do not need to be within the strict definition of street photography, if there is one, but will hopefully show Vancouverites and its visitors in the lower mainland.

Curation and "how we roll." The pool is curated to some extent to create higher quality viewing. Photos of friends, performances and those that are posed will not be approved. Candid photos are what we want to see.

Know your roots! Some past and present well known Vancouver photographers are: Dick Bellamy, Brian Stablyk, Jack Dale, Michael de Courcy, Christos Dikeakos, Fred Douglas, Svend-Erik Eriksen, Robbert Flick, Greg Girard, Rodney Graham, Curt Lang, Robert Sherrin, N.E. Thing Company, Fred Herzog, Henri Robideau, Bruce Stewart, Jeff Wall, Roy Arden, Ian Wallace, Tony Westman, Paul Wong and Christopher Anderson who was just accepted into the prestigious Magnum Photos.
