About Vintage Quilts

Vintage quilts, antique quilts, old quilts (pre 1970). Vintage quilts and quilt tops are wonderful inspiration, and quilt history is endlessly fascinating (if you're fascinated by it in the first place!).

Please post only photos of *old quilts*, not reproductions. Tattered doesn't matter.

Detail photos, pictures of stacks of quilts, full shots of quilts or old tops are all fine. If you can avoid the trapezoid shot (where it appears triangular with the top chopped off), do (take a photo of it flat against a wall or from above on a floor if possible).

If you have photos of vintage quilting paraphernalia - vintage quilt books, old templates, tools, vintage patterns - then these are fine too.

Please also be careful not to infringe copyright - post only photographs you\'ve taken legitimately. Some exhibits and markets are fine with visitor photography, some aren't.

This group operates as per most Flickr groups - be nice, be kind.

Photographs not suiting the parameters of this group may be removed from the pool.

Please tag your photos with "vintagequilts" so they're easy to find.
