Somehow they are there for me when logged off, but others still don't see them. I didn't do anything. Servers out of sync?

There is something funny going on - I see links in my contacts page for photos that when I look at their streams aren't there, and links below photos that say "2 comments" but when I look, there are less.

Yeah, I'm fairly new to flickr.. a few days old... so, I think I'm having a similar problem. I've uploaded some pics, but when I do a search some of them don't come up. I went through all the search results and they weren't there.

Still not solved.
Did another test in the mean time:
- If I send someone else the farm-what-follows-url to the original ( farm3.static.flickr.com/2211/2481791513_9f620278ee_o_d.jpg and farm4.static.flickr.com/3257/2482605532_d6096bb001_o_d.jpg ), then they can download and see the originals, but when they follow the url to the website: ( www.flickr.com/photos/_pixelmaniac_/2481791513/ and www.flickr.com/photos/_pixelmaniac_/2482605532/ ), then my Contacts don't seem to have permission.
So, the pictures have been uploaded, but there's something wrong with the privacy setting in Flickr.

_Pixelmaniac_ Yes something is odd here. I can see the first of your 2 links even though it is marked Private and I am not a contact nor am I in any of the groups it is in. I could see it even before I followed the link.
The 2nd link is marked Public and I could also see it.
You could try resetting the privacy settings to see if that will clear them.

Yes, I noticed the same, while working logged-off in IE, like my wife who is sitting next to me on another pc on her own account.
It goes on and off...
And even if I upload a new picture, the same strange thing is happening. :(

i have the same problem. and the counting of comments is also not correct. contacts see my pictures only by clicking on the photo in their contactsheet with thumbnails. but when they come to my stream by clicking on my icon the pictures are not visible.

These should be synced up again, and if you notice more, it's probably bad server cache that will get refreshed within about an hour or less. If you notice something beyond that, let us know. :)

I had a flickr notice saying something about some of my photos won't appear because i have 200 photos... they havent been deleted, they'll appear when i delete some photos... or something, i didn't really understand, but i'm worried that my photos aren't viewable... is there a limit to the amount of photos you have on flickr without a pro account??? I've added new photos, but it still says i only have 200 photos... confused!!!

atomiser Sounds like you have reached the limit for a free account:
www.flickr.com/help/limits/
With a free account, only the most recent 200 images are available. The rest will become available if you upgrade to Pro or if you delete some of the available ones.

Check the FAQ about free accounts:
I have a free account. Some of my photos aren't showing up. Why?
On a free account, Flickr limits the number of photos displayed.
If you have fewer than 200 photos, we display them all. If you have more than 200 photos, only the most recent 200 are displayed.
Your photos are not removed from Flickr, only from the list of your photos. If you blogged a photo and it no longer appears in your list, it will still appear on your blog, and the photo's Flickr page will still work just fine.

atomiser Do you think the limit might be 200? It just seems to me that a message saying "...something about some of my photos won't appear because i have 200 photos..." might be a hint that this is the limit.

atomiser You have a free account and have now hit the visible photo limit. You can read about it in the FAQ and decide if you want to upgrade.

all of a sudden, my photos no longer show up on the public map. i tried logging out and they still aren't there.
i only have about 20 so it makes no sense.
