My friends are as much my family as my real family.
すごいですよ! がんばって!
My fascination with photography I began 20 years ago when I received Polaroid OneStep for my birthday.
I played around a bit with a Nikon 5005 and learned more about how to actually control a camera.
I was given a Nikon Coolpix 950 and shot, shot, shot like mad, teaching myself composition without the burden of developing. That was the main reason I never got very far with the 5005, I couldn't afford the film and developing costs!
I got a 10D about three years ago and continued to learn. I bought a Elan7 online, acquired an old Mamiya MSX1000 and a Petri Rangefinder and did some more serious film work.
I'm still very much an amateur, but then I believe that only because a) I don't make my living shooting photos and b) I've only been doing it with any serious intentions for about 5 years now. But I strive make great images as well as capture moments with clarity and purpose.
I am inspired by the works of Ansel Adams (who isn't), Andreas Feininger, Monte Nagler, Sally Mann, Karsh, and many, many others old and contemporary.
I will never lose my childlike fascination with the everything, and I feel really lukcy that I've found someone to share that with and a way to partially capture it all.
I love to create ambiguous scenes, pictures that tell stories. I like capturing the beauty of the world, and the people in it. I enjoy finding the serenity in the things that a lot of people ignore.
