"I found KT Lindsay's Flickr page and her blog (http://ktlindsay.blogspot.com/) as a result of having put up a collection of mostly colour 1914-18 War images on my Flickr page, which Ms. Lindsay invited me to contribute to the greatwararchive.com at Oxford University. While these may be available elsewhere, I am glad to help this worthwhile effort in any way possible.
It was an unexpected pleasure, then, to discover KT Lindsay's photos both on Flickr and her blog.
She uses a photo of her legs as a profile picture, especially on her blog, which might seem a little too Page Three if she weren't such a good photographer. From her self-portraits, she appears to be a slim, attractive young woman, but she doesn't at all create an overly sexualised or narcissistic atmosphere. On the contrary, she seems to take herself with a good measure of self-deprecatory humour, such as referring to 'knobbly knees' in her profile photo.
Her pictures, both of herself and other subjects, are honest, pleasant yet never boring, and technically interesting. She puts up some very good advice about digital photography in her blog, which is an unpretentious breath of fresh air among photoblogs. She is not at all afraid to ask advice and to discuss the creation of her photos in an unassuming way. As someone just starting digital photography after 20 years away from any photography, I find her advice and her style of writing and presentation incredibly helpful.
In short, her photos and writings are a delight. The only critical thing that can be said is that there are far too few of them."
