I'm a web developer / author / consultant; I am half-Turkish, born and raised in The Netherlands, living in the San Francisco Bay Area and working for a fruit company that imports most of its products from China.

When it comes to photography, I currently consider myself an experimental photographer — I try to find the interesting shot in everything and anything, sometimes with success. I also have a passion for portraits: there's a story behind every face, an interesting person behind every smile. One day I may try to do professional portrait photography.



I'm often curious about the person behind the camera of all those wonderful photos I keep encountering on Flickr, so for those who are curious about that with my photos, this is me:

A note about my friends & contacts:
I use Flickr's distinction between "friends" and "contacts" as follows: Friends are people I've met, Contacts is everyone else. There are a few exceptions, where I'll list people as friend without having met them yet — in such cases I generally chat with those people very regularly.

If you're in my Contacts selection but we have met before, I probably just forgot to "upgrade" our relationship status after meeting you. Please let me know so I can correct it, thanks! :-)
