LET THE PICTURE TALK: YOU TALK TO THE PICTURE.
and ART IS RESISTANCE ( here and here if you are alarmed. )
CREATIVE COMMONS ROCKS.
ALMOST ALL OF my pictures are Creative-Commons lisenced (attribution, non-commercial), so feel free to use mine, as long as the picture is CC licensed, for your non-profit blogs, websites, art projects, etc. Credit me as "nofrills" because this is the online name I've been using for years. No need to ask me if you are non-commercial/non-profit. I'd be happy if you could let me know (comment or flickr mail). But please remember: Flickr Terms of Service specify that if you post a Flickr photo on an external website, the photo must link back to its photo page. ;)
Just in case you want to use mine for commercial purposes, such as on a corporate website, and on a business leaflet, ... well, let me know beforehand - flickr mail should work, but I'm afraid that I could be away and not available for weeks for no apparent reason.
As for the caption/description, well, if you find it useful, use it. I'm a professional writer (in Japanese) and I won't upload anything that I don't want others to copy and distribute for free of charge. ;-) But please be advised that there may be an error or two (or more) on my web writing: I don't check the facts and English grammar/spelling (fix them when you copy!) as I do with my work. I will take no responsibility for your use of my writing (and photo).
* February 2007:
Changed buddy icon to tell something more about me (my language ability), and changed it again.
If you like some of my pictures, don't forget to visit my brand-new Britain and Eire in Japan (things to have, places to go) group. If you have a picture or two (or more) to add our pool, feel free to join and post. (^^)
* 2 August 2006:
The change of buddy icon. If you're wondering why - here is why.

* Created with fd's Flickr Toys, in February 2007.
Born and raised up in Japan. Living in Japan. Have a Japanese passport. I've been speaking Japanese since I was a baby. In a word, I'm a Japanese. And I use English too. I'm a professional translator/writer.
Became a Flickr user in October 2004. Bought my first digital camera (Olympus Camedia C-770UZ) at the time.
I started flickr-ing because I wanted to show how Tokyo looks, especially to my friends who have never been here.
Haven't got any training on photography. Haven't got a tripod (always hand-held). Haven't got a knowledge of lighting. Often careless. Often have difficulty with my camera.
Been to: England (for months: stayed in Hackney, Harringey, Kilburn, etc), but never been to Scotland, Wales and Northen Ireland. :-(
Native language: Japanese.
日本語はぺらぺらです。;-)
- I translate therefore I ... often make stupid mistakes.
