About ukjc07

I grew up in Edinburgh, until the age of 17. I then moved to London and lived and worked there for 12 years. In 1990 I moved to Los Angeles and stayed there for 14 years, In March of 2004 I broke my left leg.......very badly, shattering everything below the knee. When I was told I would never walk without a walking stick, I decided to show the medical world that they were wrong. I returned to my native Edinburgh in July 2004 and I can walk, run and jump as I did before the leg injury......I'm a determined "wee" soul ;-) I'm Male and Taken. Testimonials"Such a variety of colours and angles that take me into another dimension and give me different feelings. Difficult to achieve but you can do it well." "What he sees is what you get!!! No gimmicks or Photoshop trickery--just reality in all its perceived glory. The longer he walks this earth, the richer we all are. James, you're the Man." "as an artist, i can say that James' work is very creative and impactive, exhibiting a variety of stylistic approachs. ..and, of course, i love edinburgh!" "James has a quote in his profile of Ken Rockwell that says "No matter how advanced your camera, you still need to be responsible for getting it to the right place at the right time and pointing it in the right direction to get the photo you want." ... Well, I can tell you that JAMES has been at the right place at the right time pointing his camera in the right direction more times than I can count ... James sees through the lens of his camera with an artist's eye ... forever capturing the action .. angles ... patterns ... lines ... reflections .... silhouettes .. ... light .. and artistry with perfect framing and composition in every photograph that we see in his outstanding photo stream on Flickr At last count James had over 7,910 contacts listed on his profile page ... It always amazes me that he counts me as one of those contacts and takes the time to visit me and comment on my own humble photographs ... I am deeply honored to count this incredibly talented photographer as my friend ... sandy in seattle" "James constantly posts images that make me go "Oh I wish I'd taken that!!!" and then leave me wondering "Ok, just how *did* he take that"." It has something to do with living vicariously through someone else's eyes...as they see things, a new perspective or just a moment captured from a time gone by...like reading a fine novel, a picture tells MORE than a thousand words. Thank you for sharing. Warm Regards, theonlinedesign" |
