yikes!

Last night Dave got up for a while cos he was coughing a lot. Did whatever he does in the middle of the night, turned off his computers (he has two - IT Geek) at 4am and came back to bed. I was asleep within seconds but he lay awake and at 4.20am I got woken up by him going 'holy shit, did you hear that? It was a huge popping sound'. We've had a few problems with the power socket in the hallway, it pops a fuse when you touch it and the electrician is due to contact us whenever he gets off his ass. And when it pops it lets off a big flash of light. So we knew what it must be, even though nobody was actually using it at the time. It backs onto the plug in the computer room too, so it was strange that the PC's were off and still it blew. And when I say it blew...scared me half to death to think what could have happened.
