A little redwork patch that I whipped up last night and sewed today, just some instant gratification to get me motivated again. It came out freakin' awesome - 4 inches square(ish) with all four corners mitred (a first!) and the slightly wonky look keeps it rustic and handmade looking. I love linen but it moves like water when you pin or sew it. The patch was originally destined for a tote bag I want to make out of my red linen but now I'm thinking cushion maybe or pouch or...?
The pattern was adapted from a candlewicking book I got from the library.
Special mention - the french knot eye which is my first successful french knot in ages. Yay!
