Hot-dogs

This was a magic moment, a photographer's dream! I had just finished thinking that the hot dog stand wasn't enough for a photo, although the red was very nice, when these women walked into view. I love all the bits of red in this.
This is in the center of Amsterdam, the square in front of the Royal Palace, the building here to the right. Mme. Tussaud's has a wax museum just to the left of the hot dog stand, and the main shopping street is where the women are headed, just behind the stand.

Well, well, the nearer the hotdog stand you
are, the fatter you get.....
( I know that this is a cruel,
unconvenient, not politically correct
comment.... I beg your pardon in
advance.....But, you know, I just get home
after a terrible day at work..... )

Did the three of them plan to go out looking
like a red trio? How wonderful!

The colour is really neat, and sets off the
rest of the picture very well. I don't
usually think of hot dogs in Amsterdam.
Cultural contamination, that's what it is!
The next thing you know, they'll be serving
toutons!

Hello everyone! Thanks for your comments! My
hubby and I decided that for Christmas,
rather than give tons of presents, we'd
celebrate by going somewhere with the kids.
Hence the trip. It was great fun. It's a
small and very fun place to be - something
for everyone, and generally within walking
distance.
Ellen, as women generally prefer to be seen
dead rather than to be wearing the same thing
as their friends, I'd assume this was an
intentional group thing. Rexton, the hot dogs
is a bit much, but then so are pretty well
all the big name clothing stores, the pizza
huts and mcdonalds. The nice thing about
Amsterdam is that you're out of that generic
stuff within minutes, if you want. And I'm
not even talking about the red light district
! ;)
I found a new group for gms! How about,
"make my day"?
