What a beautiful shot! I've seen some good sunsets, but this has to be one of the best.
The silouhettes of the people just make this an absolutely stunnig scene!

Can we almost forgive a sunset where the the sunset itself is a relatively minor part of the picture. Erm... no, I don't think so.
BTW, what's with the proliferation of teletubbies on these pages? I thought I just swallowed a youth pill and was sitting in front of the TV with my 2 year old son!

It's a nice picture but it has to die
I could make up a reason like ... one of the guys appears to be growing out of a post or that it's an overdone subject or the crop should be tighter but that would be a dishonest attempt at masking my bitter, unrelenting prejuduce against sunsets. That wouldn't be right

Oh, good! a nearly sunset. Half way there already. It is undeniably beautiful. I like the structure, and the placement of the boat.
There are several bits and pieces that I would want to lose.

Just because it's a sunset does not mean it sucks.

the way the water comes within inches of the standing surface is interesting. but in this case i think i'd prefer the sunlight on the building rather than seeing the sun itself.

I recently took a return journey through my own personal favorite images of the last year on Flickr - and this was one of the truly world class images that stood out.
Since I've already faved it, the only other recognition I can give this superb image is to give it the BRAVO tag and comment. This mean that this image is nominated for inclusion in The Best: BRAVO pool where true gems like this get the extra recognition they so richly deserve. I hope you'll post it to the pool.
