"Rhumbas" - Los Romeros in Concert

The quartet playing "Rhumbas" for their first encore, a piece that the original quartet played on their Ed Sullivan Show debut.

In memory of the family patriarch and founder of the quartet Celedonio, who passed away 10 years ago, the progarm was changed from the usual format of mixed quartet, duet, and solo pieces, and instead the whole quartet remained on stage throughout the concert.

It must have been a musical day, as later that evening at a Japanese restaurant a friend who was visiting from L.A. had sworn to me that he had seen the Japanese conductor Seiji Ozawa. (I can't say so myself since thinking that he was joking, didn't turn around...)
