Car Grave, St Pancras & Islington Cemetery, Finchley

This cemetery is an extraordinary place, complete range from the exquisitely manicured to wild overgrown areas that put the seven great Victorian cemeteries to shame. This is one of two car hulks I came across in the wild area. How anyone got them in there I have absolutely no idea. It seems impossible, but there it is...

Crash, Finchley

I can't find my copy of Crash, but I faintly recall that Ballard was referencing the North Circular (or was that in Concrete Island?). I could be wrong, in any case there was no M25 at the time. Have to re-read both books
