the condensation on the glass is very
immediate, i love it. also, that mint sprig
is so happy to be on top of the beverage!
i had to read the description you included,
because this completely resembles a drink. as
sherbet, i would expect to see it frozen, in
scoops usually, and more likely in a bowl.
your presentation is very nice, but my
confusion might be helpful to you. :)

I guess we have different traditions because
here in Italy a sherbet is never served
frozen. It is creamy and icy, hard to
describe.... like ice cream but less solid
and with water instead than milk.
This is the typical lemon sherbet (not a
photo of mine, a commercial one):

Confesso che non è solo bello da
fotografare. Ho fatto gli scatti più in
fretta possibile perchè non si sciogliesse e
poterlo così mangiare mentre li portavo
dentro photoshop :P
Grazie Carlos, ma se io sono un maestro tu
sei un professore ;)

really nicely done
love the cool look to the whole shot
the condensation droplets on the glass
the bright white soft background
the sharp front glass edge
the bright reflection on the wet surface
and the mint leaves are just perfect here
all it needs is to let me taste it

Interesting! I had the same thought as
Melina - now I feel more informed. I like
this one too for the color and the angle. I
love the condensation too. I wish though
that on this you could see the stem continue.
The photo fools the eye a bit because it
looks like a very narrow bottomed bowl and
it's unclear how it's balancing - wonder if
you tried coming up a bit higher but at a
similar angle so that you could see the stem
travel on? Would sort of be like my peony
angle where the focus is still very much on
the top as you have it.

I love the DoF and focal plain you have used
here. I love how the glass is fading out.
This gives a wonderful lightness and a very
sunny feeling.

I tried a shot with all the glass into but
it wasn't as good as this one, it was a lot
flatter.
Thanks TK, I'm glad that you liked it. Try
it, it's a very nice dessert, especially
after eating some fish.
