a quick half day trip to Australia Zoo, Beerwah, QLD, north of Brisbane, 03/07/2007. we didn't see the tigers or elephant feeding, though saw the elephants briefly in the crocoseum show. I remember going to the Reptile Park when I was young but it was much smaller than Australia Zoo. I didn't realise it was the same place to be honest. the animals are all so well trained, especially the ones in the shows. it's a huge park! need a full day or couple of days to see everything. the Tasmanian Devils were my favourite - I'd never seen live ones in the daytime before, only photos. they were out having their exercise or looking for food. I'm not sure exactly, but they were doing laps of their enclosures, stopping to pose (not really!) whilst sniffing the air. I'll upload the videos of them. so cute!
