The styling idea is interesting. For me the
cups are too dominating here with all there
interesting details. And the centered
composition emphasizes the dominating cups
even more.

I really like the concept of the cup and
saucer as a form of tea tray. The cups do
dominate the scene a bit but that isn't
necessarily a bad thing, if that was your
goal... it has certainly made me think about
the potential of my tea cups and saucers.

I like the idea of using the cups piled up as
a cake stand too, but I agree that they are a
little bit busy and therefore it's more about
the cups than the food, but I LOVE this
idea..... and I like the cups!

phew all these comments :)
glad you enjoyed the styling. i think it
suited the mini meringues. i tend to agree
with the overpowering cups although somehow
in 'real' life it didn't seem like that. the
idea was to keep the shot simple, centered
and bring a very clean perfection to it.
which to me is afternoon tea. am i wrong
thinking that?
