Evening On The Canal
I live in the city of Sault Ste. Marie (nicknamed "the Sault" or "the Soo") on the St. Marys River in Ontario, Canada. The Sault Ste Marie (pronounced Soo Saint Ma-ree) canal is part of the shipping route from the Atlantic ocean to Lake Superior and includes a set of locks to bypass the rapids on the St. Marys River. This canal is used for recreational and tour boats; major shipping traffic uses the American Soo Locks.

I almost stepped on this little fellow. He blended so well with his surroundings. Looks like I wasn't the only one enjoying the sunshine!

The daisies are growing wild everywhere ! They are such a cheerful wildflower. When my daughter was little, my mother used to pick the daisies and weave her a flower wreath for her head. It is one of my favourite memories of her.
